Hebi (蛇 Snake) Cuff

A study in architectural adornment, this sculptural steel cuff is composed of intersecting angles and planes that incorporate the wrist as the foundation for its architectural form. A deeply etched snake introduces graceful movement, creating a deliberate counterpoint to the disciplined geometry. A flash of 24k gold, bonded using the ancient Keum Boo technique, softens the darkened steel, while a vivid Rosarita cabochon anchors the composition with a bold note of color. Balancing structure and movement, strength and refinement, the piece is conceived as wearable sculpture. Designed to fit an average size wrist.
