Mamori (守りProtection) Pendant

A bold, shield-like pendant in deeply etched steel carries the quiet authority of an ancient talisman. The surface is marked by the impression of a large beetle—an enduring symbol of transformation and persistence—emerging from a darkened ground. A sweeping band of 23k gold, bonded through the Keum Boo process, cuts across the form like a seam of light breaking through stone. At the crest, a round magnifying lens backed in rich 24k gold catches and concentrates light, creating a luminous focal point that shifts as the wearer moves. The pendant is suspended from a 22" adjustable gold-filled paperclip chain, allowing it to be worn at multiple lengths. Care Instructions

While the jewelry has been sealed for protection, it is possible (though unlikely) that steel can rust if exposed to moisture. Store the jewelry away from moisture and avoid submerging it in any liquids. Avoid contact with perfumes, sunscreens or lotions. Occasionally rub a small amount of light oil into the surface.
