Shiawase (幸せ Happiness) Earrings

Elongated drops of Fordite—a recycled material formed from layers of baked automotive paint that once accumulated on factory equipment—display bright, playful bands of color, polished smooth to a glossy finish. Each cabochon is naturally unique, offering its own small landscape of reds, turquoise, golds and creams. The stones hang from hand-formed bundles of blackened steel wire fused with 14k gold powder and are suspended on 14k gold-filled ear wires, creating a warm contrast of dark steel, rich color and subtle gold. Lightweight and gently kinetic, these earrings add an easy spark of color and an element of play. 2 1/2" long

Care Instructions

While the jewelry has been sealed for protection, it is possible (though unlikely) that steel can rust if exposed to moisture. Store the jewelry away from moisture and avoid submerging it in any liquids. Avoid contact with perfumes, sunscreens or lotions. Occasionally rub a small amount of light oil into the surface.
